Brittini Young of Mars Hill led all scorers with 37 points, 12 of them coming from beyond the 3 point line where she finished 4-for-6.

It was Breast Cancer Awareness night at the gym this evening where coaches, players, fans, staff, and referees were wearing anything from pink shirts to blowing pink whistles.

At halftime of the game, there was a student vs. faculty basketball game.

Mars Hill snapped a 12 game losing streak with their win tonight. They earned a split of the season series, with Wingate taking a 76-73 victory at Mars Hill earlier in the season.

Jessy Keitt of Wingate came off the bench to score 12 points. Five Wingate players scored in double figures.

Kurie Washington of Wingate scored a career high 32 points, 15 of them coming from beyond the arc where she finished 5-for-9.

Stacie Rhodes of Wingate finished with a double-double, scoring 11 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and chipping in 7 blocks to go along with it. It was her fifth double-double of the season and her third straight. She also had five assists.

The Bulldogs have lost both overtime games they've been in this season. The other was a 65-60 loss to Johnson C. Smith in Charlotte on Nov. 21. They are 3-5 in games decided by five points or less.
